2010 Lincoln MKT price range: $49,200.00
- Reviewed by: Wayne Cunningham
- Reviewed on: 12/08/2009
The good: MP3 player and cell phone integration through Sync, and traffic and gas price information through Sirius Travel Link are features in the 2010 Lincoln MKT unrivaled by other automakers. Adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, blind spot detection, and automatic parking add to the MKT's luxury quotient.
The bad: We couldn't get anywhere close to the EPA highway mileage figure of 22 mpg. The navigation system's maps look a little rough.
The bottom line: With three rows of seating, the 2010 Lincoln MKT is a big, powerful cruiser capable of carrying many people in high-tech comfort.

Great vehicle, Nice ride, Quality interior, quite.
by togwotee1 on December 13, 2009
Pros: Great sound. Quite ride. Great comfort. Technology abounding that really works and is useful. Smooth ride. Second row limo like ride. Attention getting style. Loads of room. Does not feel like you are driving a big vehicle
Cons: Rear bumper sticks out a bit making loading and unloading without bumping up against it difficult. Takes a long time to wash, it is a big vehicle.
Summary: Lots of people commenting on the car without even driving or experiencing the car. I have one, I love it, and it is a car that, if your are looking ...
Summary: Lots of people commenting on the car without even driving or experiencing the car. I have one, I love it, and it is a car that, if your are looking in this category you need to experience it. You and your family will be surprised. Driving with the sync is smooth and efficient. Travel link lets you see up to date info, even weather and radar. Seats allow you to ride in comfort for long drives. Second row comfort is better than the front. vista roof is next best thing to convertible. Design is eye-catching and identifies the product well. I have not had one person tell me that they did not like the design, in fact the response has bee the exact opposite. For my family of four it has been perfect for trips.

Eye turning, powerful, luxurious, fantastic amenities!
by MyLincolnMkt on July 5, 2011
Pros: I have owed severals cars in my time but nothing compares to the mkT! The mkT will turn heads! The interior luxurious. The roof and wheels are must haves. Sync is a unique system. Mansion with wheels!
Cons: Even though the ride is overall very good, hitting a deep pothole you can feel it thrust through the mkT. The buttons on the dash are very small. You can work through the screen but it is a lot of screens to get to the one you want.
Summary: Bottom line heads will turn when you're in the mkT. This is the first Ford/ Lincoln vehicle I have ever owned and so far I am very impressed.

The BEST American Made Car I have ever owned!
by Hook em on September 5, 2010
Pros: Excellent room in the 1st & 2nd rows. Drives like a sportier car & not a SUV even @ 100 mph. All electronics are easy to use & access. Ecoboost performance is shocking for a car of it's size. WE LOVE IT!!
7smooth ride. Would buCons: MPG estimates have not been achieved either Highway or City, miles per tank barely 300 miles. Driver armrest not very useful for its size. Fridge is too small and not worth the money.
Summary: For our use without having ot use the 3rd Row seats daily this is an excellent replacement for our Expedition. This vehicle drives and handles like a much smaller vehicle ...
Summary: For our use without having ot use the 3rd Row seats daily this is an excellent replacement for our Expedition. This vehicle drives and handles like a much smaller vehicle making it great for city use. On the highway it is a dream.
It is a pleasure to drive on the highway. The interior noise is minimal no matter what highway surface you are driving on. We followed a Rice burner on this most recent trip and kept right up with it driving 100+ for many miles and the Ecoboost engine performed great.
The quality of the interior is what I consider first class and in the arena with MB, BMW and others. The seats are comfortable but firm in the areas they need to be. The adaptability and wide range of adjustments makes long trips very enjoyable. I do find the fan noise annoying on the seat coolers considering how quiet everything else is . They could have used the same technology that Cadillac uses on their seat climate systems.
Ours has every option but a trailer hitch and I wish I would have purchased that too. Travel LInk and Sync are excellent, and easy to use. Auto Parking and Blind Spot option are great features. It makes you seek out a chance to parallel park. The adaptive cruise control works well, but takes a while to get used to, and it can be annoying in more than moderate traffic. I find myself narrowing the gap. I wish there was a way to disengage the adaptive portion and use as a normal cruise control.
The 3rd row seat if ok for smaller children, older than teens won't be happy there for long. Excellent cargo space with seats stowed. Our seats are electric.
The most frustrating feature is the lack of range on a tank of fuel. Most cars I have ever owned offered a range of 400 miles, with the MKT and the EcoBoost the range is 320 miles finding us stopping more on trips than we are used to. This adds to delays on a road trip. I think for all the engineering the rest of the car shows, they could have improved the functionality of the center console in the drivers area. The armrest is massive, but the interior storage is really disappointing when you see the lack of flat surfaces for phones, and the like. Only 2 cup holders too!
We are pleased with our 2010 MKT and have already decided that we will most likely purchase another one when this one is ready for trade-in. -

Summary: Included with the above PROS, add voice activated control of everything from climate/radio/weather/theater showings/traffic updates/sports scores, etc., power vista roof, sunshades for 2nd row doors and excellent sound deadening, this is one quality vehicle that exudes luxury.
The Ecoburst engine is no comparison to the Buick Enclave or the Acura MDX.
Thank you Ford for making a vehicle that is different from the others which makes me feel special. -

It's a Ford
by tjmile1 on December 11, 2009
Pros: - From the Lincolns I have test driven, this is probably a comfortable vehicle.
- Good factory stereos and SyncCons: - It's one of the ugliest looking cars I've seen.
- It will depreciate more than anything else out there.
- Expect quality issues with rattles and squeaks

Summary: From what I've read, and the Lincoln's I have test driven, this is probably a comfortable vehicle. Lincoln interiors seem chintzy to me though. For what they charge, they don't match Japanese makers. There's no doubt they have decent tech, but my Mercury (the 2008 I bought new) had rattles and squeaks that couldn't be solved by the dealer within a week of driving it. Several mechanical and maintenance issues within the seven months I owned it (I dumped it three weeks ago) Don't bother lecturing me on the difference between Lincoln and Mercury, there's not much difference at all other than the level of trim and like I said, it ain't all that impressive.
Ford is a horrible company. They sold me a lemon and wouldn't do right by me. I won't bore anyone with the details, but let's just say a Japanese dealer gave me $1000 over KBB trade-in book, $4000 more than my Ford/Lincoln/Mercury dealer was willing to do (I was going to give Ford a second chance on a different vehicle, but they refused to even give me trade-in book value). Ford dealers are old school crooks as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure they have many fans, but I've owned many cars (American, Japanese, Korean, Italian, German, Swedish), and Ford (Mercury) is the worst I've owned.
Why would you waste your hard earned money on a Lincoln. I can name several better cars in this vehicle's category, but I won't bother. I"m not trying to sell another brand in particular, but compare closely Mileage, power, interior, resale value. If you do you won't buy a Ford product.0 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

Pros: its pretty
Cons: its probably pretty horrible too. fords are the worst cars ever! they might as well change their name and start from sctratch because theyve burned too many people that shelled out good money for their cars. i'd rather buy a kia!
