Summary: Acquaintance at gym loves his. So, I looked into it and read, what I thought were enough reviews. Some did conmplain about the device malfunctioning. But, on the advice of my gym buddy, I purchased it anyway.
NO manual in the package so I was left to figure it all out myself. Come to find out, it's NOT compatible with my Droid X. But no where, (or, no one) ever said that was an issue. And -NO BLUETOOTH?? Plugged it in to the computer to charge it but no way to find out what the lights mean, IF they came on, or at what times they were visible.
Couldn't find an iPad app, per Jawbone Customer Support (20 minute call)- there is only an iPHONE app. Downloaded that and the UP would not sync.
Next call to Customer Support was an HOUR. With NO resolution. While well-meaning, Customer Support person, after listening to my (carefully defined)problem(s) seemed stumped. She guided me through simple steps turning devices On/Off (twice), discarding/reloading iPHONE app(on iPAD). Checking volume(?) level, etc. Trying to get lights to come on (but she didn't seem to know what color they should be if it was charged). All of which I very patiently complied with.
When nothing was working, she started focusing on where I bought the Up. Don't know why. Then, why it wouldn't work on my Android DroidX. Then she started defending the fact that there was limited Android and they only meant it to work with iPHONE.
When asked about a manual so that I might understand it, she said there was no manual. But, I could go to their website...which I previously tried, but found no help. She sent me a link, which DID go to a different location on the website. But some of the info there was not clear.
All in all she tried (with the simnple things), she was nice, but she was never able to adequately address any issues or most questions. At the end of an hour on the phone (2nd time) and several hours trying to get this to work....I'M DONE. It's going back.
