Summary: This software has the potential to fill 95% of needs of someone building a business, academic, or personal website, including great features like flash and e-commerce. BUT all you need to do is go to the Avanquest/Web Easy Pro forum (http://forums.avanquestusa.com/aq/forumdisplay.php?f=3) to witness the HUNDREDS of complaints about bugs in the software and NO TECH SUPPORT WHATSOEVER! E-mails go unanswered, phone support is PAY ONLY, and those who have paid still are without answers.

Only thing wrong are the uninformed users...
by VerbatimEB on March 26, 2011
Pros: Very easy to use, but a learning curve is necessary, as with all such programs. A terrific value, for the price. Is used by more PROFESSIONAL web builders than any other wysiwyg program out there. Have found NO bugs that would prevent building a great
Cons: Learning curve can be long as users do not understand website basics. More explanation might be needed in the help files for all the new people who think software should make choices for them.
Summary: Do your homework people. You cannot expect a program to do things YOU SHOULD KNOW about before attempting to build a website.

What's All The Fuss About?
by mp101 on February 3, 2011
Pros: Seamless operation, stable and easy to work with
Cons: Could feature more updates to stay current with more updated website design programs

Summary: I've owned this program for well over a year and a half. I don't understand why it gets such a bum rap. This program says what it does and does what it says. It works flawlessly with my Windows XP. When first starting out it can be a little intimidating but if you stick with it, this program designs very nice (albeit) simple websites. I suspect many people get a little impatient with the program and give up. It probably helps to have some design capabilities and knowledge... like with Photoshop. I had no problem creating my own websites. In fact, out of the box, I avoided the templates and just assigned my own page size and page quantity to my website. It has many interesting features that allow your website to be more "animated" in nature and I found the instructions easy to read and follow. Sorry, but I give it 4 stars. For $35 it's a great little website design program -- and the finished product will look every bit as nice as a high-end website design program costing hundreds of dollars more. Thumbs up for Web Easy Pro 7!

Exception To The Above Negative Reviews.. I Like It!
by sterling628 on July 28, 2009
Pros: I've read the previous reviews and was really surprised. I use this software exclusively for building simple and multi-page websites with various features. i've been using it for the past 2 years with no problem.
Cons: I use another FTP software instead of the included FTP feature.
Summary: I like it. It allows me to build and launch simple websites in an hour.

Has major issue with serial code verification
by glider07 on March 7, 2009
Pros: not too much. it looked simple and easy at first but there are features missing.
Cons: prompts for serial code after each computer shutdown. extended acsi codes don't work eg. <alt>0169 for the © ..
Summary: not worth the headaches. I've been working with Avanquest for 3 weeks now and still not resolution. I have requested a refund from Avanquest. Save you time.

What absolute rubbish
by webdesignnewbee on November 10, 2008
Pros: Wouldn't run after installation - there is no positive
Cons: Wouldn't run after installation. Telephone help is non-existant - over an hour with no help. E-mail requests were not answered. WalMart wouldn't take it back because "the box was opened" - if it doesn't run, why make copies? Rubbish!
Summary: Do not buy. Use Frontpage or Namo WebEditor instead.

Terrible software
by tbird20d on March 25, 2008

Summary: Purchasing this software was a big mistake. It has decent looking templates, but if you stray from the template design, watch out! Things fall apart quickly. And some things are plain impossible. (For example, you can't add a row to a table - you have to create a new table with more rows and transfer each cell of content individually - what a crock!)
There's no direct HTML or CSS edit. You have to reverse-engineer what will be produced by their software. Some things apparently can't be produced at all (e.g. contextual CSS settings). The way the site is created, you can't even edit the HTML after-the-fact. Content sections are all positioned absolutely, and are out-of-order in the HTML file.
The web site produced by WebEasy is not rendered even remotely similarly between different browsers. Browsers other than IE get mangled output.
Technical support is non-existant. E-mails and queries I sent went completely unanswered.
I rue the day I purchased this product. Some freeware HTML editor would likely have been better. Stay away from this one.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

NEVER AGAIN
by basicfish54 on November 10, 2009
Pros: Nice Package and bundled software for one price, then your doomed from the minute you buy it and get it home.
Cons: Will not install, as none of the 12 serial codes will be accepted. Customer
service was rude the first time I called for help with this problem and
the second time they put me on hold for eternity. NEVER AGAIN, AVANQUESTSummary: made a $40 mistake buying any software from Walmart. I also made a $40

warranty....I wonder ...Summary: made a $40 mistake buying any software from Walmart. I also made a $40
mistake buying any software from AVANQUEST. It says it has a 90 day
warranty....I wonder how long and to what angst and aggravation I would
have to endure getting my $40 back.
AVANQUEST, I pray your act will set you straight in the business world.
Otherwise, I think you have burned the wrong folks with your utility
software. I think I'll stick with the FREEWARE/SHAREWARE folks and give
them my money, as I suspect they really deserve it more. BIG LESSON
LEARNED THE HARD WAY.
p.s. If you happen to resolve this issue, which I doubt you will, I
will let it be known and retract my statement if the software performs
what it should for the cost and trouble. -
Painful Experience
by Don Edsall on August 6, 2009
Pros: It does make a nice website if you are willing to work with the bugs
Cons: No tech support.
Re-entry of serial number every time you open to use.
Use of their hosting provider for best results.Summary: Why anyone would sell software on the internet that is below par is beyond me. You would think that with so many bad reviews they would pull it and offer ...
Summary: Why anyone would sell software on the internet that is below par is beyond me. You would think that with so many bad reviews they would pull it and offer a refund to those who recently purchased it. You would also think that bad publicity would damage their image as to question the usefulness of all their products. The most obvious problem is the reentering of the serial number every time you use it. NO TECH HELP NADA NEIN !!!!
