Built-in microphone works very well. Picks up voice without difficulty. Good colour rendering, especially when you take it off auto-pilot.
A good buy all round. -
excellent camera but handle with care
by hbrown10011 on December 6, 2005
Pros: superior technology; easy set-up, installation
Cons: seems rather easy but for me, not a handyman, putting the parts together a struggle. seems rather flimsy - I'm sure it'll break apart any minute.
Summary: Overall excellent quality and product. But I, not a handyman by any stretch, require "sturdy" electronics for my own peace of mind. And I still can't figure out how ...

Summary: Worked fine the first couple of times I used it, but turned it on one day and I got nothing. I tried all of the help suggestions and even moved it to my wife's computer to no avail. If this is the quality of this camera, I am surprised it is rated so high.

Not great for Price
Pros: Ok quality live feed. Good sound. reasonable vision in poor light for a webcam.
Cons: Cannot record at the 1.3Mp. Software sucks. No resizing of video. Marginally better than the 0.1Mp EZcam III (not even twice)for a much higher price. Don't expect too much.

Good but not Great
Pros: Very easy to install and it takes great snap snot. Really good quality for a desktop webcam.
Cons: It has a hard time on AIM web chat and can't maintain tough wear and tear.

Only Fair..Not Great or Even Good
Pros: Good image quality, face tracking works reasonably well.
Cons: Very flimsy mount. Software not ready for prime time. Can't post to a webpage without additional software subscription. Little or no control over software installation. Uninstall fails to remove completely.

great camera for the price!
Pros: the low light filter kicks in and automatically adjusts. It is pretty quick to take and display pictures as well as video.
Cons: A bit confused about the face centering, but no worries, that's now really what it's great at... This is a webcam that can be used to take darn decent still photos and video. The base isn't really flimsy, no gripes here...

Best webcam made to date
Pros: Inexpensive, uses a camcorder-quality CCD sensor, good frame rates, low light sensitivity is outstanding.
Cons: Eyeball shape is quite large, cord is very heavy; it caused the webcam to fly off the monitor several times, focus adjustment could be better, product is only USB 1.0 (it says on the box that it's 2.0 compatible.. but it's intentionally made to mislead th

Base is brutal
Pros: It works ok with MSN messenger.
Cons: The video in MSN messenger is poor. Not sure if this is messenger or camera. The base is very, very, very bad. You can't align the thing. I had to buy a tripod for it.

Once you're up and running it's great!
Pros: Able to zoom in and pan without having to manually twist and turn webcam. It also comes with a handy flexible base to mount on just about anything, including laptops.
Cons: The software is a major pain in the arse. udates are needed almost immediately off the internet. Tech lines take 20 minutes to get through. I've had to uninstall the software only to re-install with the upodates off the web to get it going. And all that t
