Summary: Camera equivalent to other 640x480 resolution webcams such as the Logitech Quickcam Deluxe. The microphone needs to be turned all the way up to hear normal voices and picks up large amounts of static. IMO the static makes the microphone unusable.

Pros: Compact, east setup.
Cons: Microphone is poor - picks up extraneous background and PC sounds, while voice pickup is weak.
Summary: Sure it's cheap, but you'll need a separate microphone if want the other side to clearly hear what you're saying. I'm exchanging mine at BB for ...

It's okay as a webcam. To record video, it is wanting.
by jaitea on November 26, 2008
Pros: For a low-end webcam it has good video resolution.
Cons: Start-up screens that ask you to adjust the webcam every time the computer starts up.
When recording a video, at any resolution, about every ten seconds there is a very short pause/skip in the video.Summary: Having to deal with the adjustment screen every time the computer is started-up, whether or not the camera is attached, is annoying.
As a webcam, where pauses/skips are not ...Summary: Having to deal with the adjustment screen every time the computer is started-up, whether or not the camera is attached, is annoying.
As a webcam, where pauses/skips are not noticeable, the webcam is great. To record video, the pauses/skips can be annoying.1 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

Pros: Used to work great on my other computer with Windows Vista. Speakers and mic worked great.
Cons: Now I have a new computer with Windows 7 , 64 bit and the microphone don't work in it. All I hear is a loud humming sound and cant talk to anyone or hear them. My speakers work fine other times.
Summary: I don't like it because it tells you everything is working fine when you test it. I took it out and downloaded what they told me to download but ...
