Summary: This is the worst game I have ever played.
Everything about this game is bad.
I wasn't expecting much for $15 but this game is horrible. I really wanted to like this game and was hopeful after reading some of the reviews on other sites. But I should have noticed the huge gap in those who said they loved it and those who hated it. I don't know how anyone could like this game. Maybe they were the programmers?
The animations for punches are like two frames and the sound does not sync. The animation for some of the knockdowns would be funny if it wasn't so painful to play and watch. The controls just do not work. I like to enjoy boxing on Wii sports and most people believe it has the worst controls of the sports games. But the Wii Boxing controls are 10x better than this.
The game load times are slow, inconvenient and happen at odd times. I would rather not wait for 20 seconds just to watch the boxer walk in the ring, then wait another 20 for your opponent and finally wait another 20 seconds of loading to begin playing.
Please don't buy this game. Give up hope now.
I don't know what to do with mine. Maybe give it to someone I don't like?
Cons: Controls unresponsive, not smooth motion, graphics are lackluster, between round cutscenes are useless

Summary: I was hoping that we finally had a great boxing game to play that not only used the Wii controllers but also would be inexpensive. As usual, I feel I wasted yet more money on a Wii game. Why is it that the only really fun game out there is for the Wii is Wii Sports and maybe Madden?
But I digress. This is a boxing game like no other because it's terrible. Even Punch Out from the days of yore is better than this. There aren't enough frames in the boxers movements so when you throw a bunch you see the setup then maybe a frame that represents the type of punch, then the frame of it being somewhere close the the guy's face. If you're lucky enough to hit the guy then his face will be watching you, then suddenly his face would be turned. There's no in between. Definitely not EA's Fight Night 3.
The boxing part I felt is more unresponsive than Wii Boxing. If you throw a punch you'll be lucky if the guy even moves. I tried multiple different ways to throw a punch and it was a hit or miss affair. The only thing I was able to do was move my arms up to block. To throw a body shot you need to hold the contollers in an unintuitive way. Upper cuts are...well, non-existent.
Perhaps I didn't give this game enough time but first impressions rule the roost and the CD will be lucky to find its way back into my Wii.
Updated This game is horrible. Yet another game for the Wii where I wasted my money. I need to learn to just rent Wii games so I won't be out so much money each time.
First off there are not enough frames in the characters. There are what feels like two frames for each punch. One shows a representation of your punch, the other is to show if you landed. Graphics are horrible. Even the old Punch Out game of yore was better than this. If you're finally able to achieve a throw and it lands you'll see one frame of the guy's head facing forward, then the other frame the head will be sideways. I can draw flip books better than this.
The other problem is the non responsive and unintuitive punches. In order to punch low you would think you would hit low. Nope, you need to be a certain stance. Need to throw an upper cut? Forget it. The only thing I was able to do consistently was put up my guard. Throw a punch, any punch, and you'll be lucky if your character even moves.
Overall, this game is a total disappointment because I was hoping for a boxing game for the Wii that will be responsive and be fun. This game will just go into the now growing pile of games that won't ever be played again. Save your money and rent games...all Wii games.
