Summary: After the biggest hyped sonic game was an utter failure Sega is moving Sonic to the Wii for his best adventure since Sonic Heroes. Sonic and the Secret Rings may be on the Wii but it's gorgeous. Vivid locations make you feel like your on a different system. And on top of that you get excellent Sonic music, nut because this is a Sonic game that's a given. The gameplay of Sonic and the Secret Rings is surprisingly fun. You control Sonic by moving the Wii remote left and right and holding 2 to jump. The longer you hold it the higher you jump. There are many upgradeable abilities too that will make you run faster and jump higher etc. These abilities offer a nice customizable aspect to the game. But they also take away from the game because it takes way to long to get your speed up. On the controlling side the game has some issues. The game has sections that make you have pin point timing while the controls just aren't there. This is really to bad because this gameplay style is one of the most fun in years. Another complaint is the difficulty spikes. Your just going to have to get over that you will die when playing a level for the first time. My final gripe is with the camera. Whenever you have to go backwards the camera stays in the same face forward direction basically making back up blindly. But these complaints don't ruin the game. The fun system feels like the game was worked on for a while. The wide variety of things keep it fresh until the end. Replay value is also here because of the insane amount of upgrades. Overall the gameplay in Sonic and the Secret Rings is very fun Sonic has been doing terrible for almost 4 years. This is the first Sonic game worth playing since Sonic Heroes.
Pros: Maybe the story but I traded the game in after the first few levels!
Cons: Controls are very frustrating! Would have been better if they incorporated the nunchuck and used the joystick to move instead of tilting the remote ( very hard to go where u want it)!
Summary: Dont waste your money on this game most people will be disappointed with the very unaccurate controls.

Summary: *Disclaimer* We haven't played many multiplayer games, so this might not be an accurate rating.
My wife got this for the kids to play multi-player. Once you get familiar with the game, it can be fun. They had a better time playing Wii Sports, but that can get old. I imagine that some other games are better for multi-player (or "party mode") for little kids (4-7 yrs).
