  Summary: The number, range, and significance of the programming defects in this game are astonishing. From not keeping score to occassional unseen water hazards on putting greens, you learn to expect the unexpected. Most bothersome is just getting drives to go straight consistently. EA Sports has said all will be fixed in the 09 version. My recommendation is check reviews of that version before buying it--apparently they have said that before.

  Returning 08 and getting back 07

  Summary: Chipping onto the green does not work well. And the biggest issue is I am right handed but have to putt left handed. They added a feature to hit either way - left or right - which you set at the start of the game but when putting right handed people have to putt left handed. took us a while to figure that out.
  
  Also when you start the game you are in learning mode, and at one point you cannot get out of a specific shot. The only way to get out is exit the learning mode.
  
  Please tell me someone at EA actually tested this game before they burned it to DVD? Game is going back to the store and getting TW 07. I had high hopes in TW 08 but was very disappointed.

  Game Is OK

  Pros: Enough courses and Pro Players

  Cons: Hard to cut power on swing. Graphics could be better.

  I am not buying it because '09 is coming out soon.
  Game is fun except for cutting power on swing. I sometimes under club 2 clubs and still hit long. Out of Bounds on some courses to near the green or fairway. Not realistic.

  Poor programming (e.g. the assisted put-out), bad design management (recaluclating the shot based on some notion of the game deigner rather than actually how you hit the ball) and blatant racism (Tsunami???)
  
  Tiger Woods 08 on wii is complete waste of forty quid. If you could get something like MS Links 2003 or Jack Nicklaus 6: Golden Bear Challenge it would blow this dross out of the water.
