An instantaneous, customizable workout
by PluckyMom on January 15, 2011
Pros: I love the routines which you can customize to work on areas of preference. Tonight, for example, I let the game design a workout for me that targeted back, shoulders, arms, hips, and tummy - while also giving me a warm-up and ending with relaxation.
Cons: I wish there were more Advanced Step routines. I love those! It seems that you can't unlock Advanced and Expert levels on some activities. I wish you could.

Summary: I got a Wii Fit Plus for Christmas, and I admit it - I was less than enthused when I saw it there waiting for me. But I started using it on Dec. 27, and I haven't missed a day since (it is now January 15). The truth is that I had not been getting adequate exercise for some time, and it was showing. At 41, I was losing flexibility, and I often would get tight and pulled muscles. While I often intended to take walks and get aerobic exercise, I just wasn't finding time, too. With two younger children, getting to the gym was too hard - the travel time there and back added on to the time of the workout was too much time away. A significant reason for my love of the Wii Fit Plus is the fact that as soon as I am ready to exercise, it is ready for me. Plus, I can work out for a spell early in the day, and then do a little more later. Unlocking new levels and achieving personal bests is very fulfilling. I also love creating my own workouts each night. My muscles have been sore, and I can tell that my muffin top is vanishing as my core gets stronger and toned. . I also love that my entire family of four is now invested. Everyone wants to work out and get better at their favorite activities, including my 5-year-old. And in these cold snowy days, that's great!

its great gives good work out
by master_mind413 on May 4, 2010
Pros: its easy to use, self explanatory friendly & fun also, it gives you a work out without even knowing your getting a work out most the time, variety of work out games as well as serious strengthening techniques
Cons: the board while expensive seems to have its moments some times overly picky and accurate and some times not quite right on for the price I think it should be lined with gold

A Fun and Easy Way to Get Fit!
by rmarscha on March 17, 2010
Pros: Fun! There are so many exercises categorized to meet your needs. There are many features for keeping track of your progress. The characters motivate you to keep on going. The game is cheerful and actually helps you get fit! Not a gimmick!
Cons: The graphics could have been a little bit better, but I don't think it made the game worse. Great graphics aren't necessary for the function of the game, but they may have enhanced it.

Summary: This game can help you see exercise, health, and fitness as fun. It came out at a time when Americans needed it most. Many of us with weight problems can find it daunting to lose weight, but the Wii Fit provides a fun, at-home alternative to the gym or a fitness club. You can do the Wii Fit alone and yet it is still like having a personal trainer there to help you. The comments made are encouraging, even if you are not so good at an activity. Many of the activities are unconventional in terms of traditional gym workouts. There are some where you pretend to be a flying bird, a penguin, a juggler in a circus, or the leader of a parade. Work-outs are highly customizable and cover aerobics, yoga, strength-training, balance, and other fun activities that will help you reach your fitness goals. I especially like how you can track your BMI, weight, calories burned, and time spent on the activities. You can add in other activities you have done outside the game and it will calculate approximately how many calories you burned and add it to your Fitness Log. You can also see what kind of foods you have burned off. This game really gets you involved in progressing yourself. I am someone who gives up easily, but this game kept me motivated to keep going. I am very impressed with the balance board technology; Nintendo has come a long way since the original console of the 1980s. The board is sensitive to your posture and movements, making interacting with the game surprisingly accurate. You also use the Wii remote and nunchuck that came with your system for other activities like rhythm boxing, running, and cycling. I was really surprised at what the creators of this game managed to encorporate into activities.
Overall, I strongly advise that every household gets a Wii and a Wii Fit. Finally, there is a fun way to exercise and get the family in shape. I find myself waking every morning looking forward to working out with the Wii. I find it so fun that I have to tell myself to stop before I get sore.

Pros: More games then the original, Training Plus games are hours of fun, "My Wii Fit Plus" section adds even more functions to the game, Helps your mind health as well as physical, new multiplayer modeas well as being able to put in pets.
Cons: A little glitchy, some games take some time to load, some games have a problem registering your movements correctly (skateboard is the one I noticed this in).
