Win98 was the Best

Pros: Great stability. At the most I had maybe 2-3 crashes a week which is a lot better compared to millennium which crashes ever 5 minutes!!
Cons: Still Crashes but it Windows 9x and Microsoft so what are you going to do?

Summary: This was the best. Had it as a little kid. Can't remember if it was first or second edition but as far as I remember I don't remember many blue screens (I do remember freezes). I believe it was a quantum pc. I would love to figure out what model it was to buy it and use it again. Loved that machine.

Back then win98 was much valued, most welcomed.its a leap over 95.it was really pleasure working on it. u could kno every lil bit of it and control it.
but we were forced to abandon 98 and switch to higher versions bcuz of increasing security threats. also it was said the higher ones had 98s conflicts resolved. but there wasnt much devlopment.
win me was 'luks of 98 and options tht of xp'.xp vudnt crash as easily as 98 does but its compromis on other things.
win98 is simply "the most satisfying os". its an innovation. Perfect for those times. -

Its good 4 lots of stuff.. including games etch..well if u have 98se already stick w/it.I dont recommend window Me , very unstable. by the way if u want security linux/unix is the best and also cheap :P

Summary: I had a Compaq 5200 or something like that (6GB HD, 96 MB RAM, AMD K6-2 300-something MHZ). I came with Windows 98 1st edition. The computer crashed every couple hours, and when we upgraded to Windows 98SE, it helped a little. The new My pictures folder is interesting but doesn't help, a little better product support, slightly impeoved control panels. It stunk when it came stabilty, but it was better then 981E.
