WOW... Stick with XP!

Pros: Aero looks good, good price, safer than XP(still not safe)

Summary: What can I say besides "WOW"? Wow, Vista runs much slower that XP. Wow, my games don't work on Vista. I installed Windows Vista on my new Apple MacBook. It has a Core2Duo @ 2.16 with 2 gigs of ram. I used Boot Camp to partition and install Windows. My first impression was that Vista installs much faster that XP does. But after I booted up for the first time it took forever to load. When I got to my desktop I was greeted with a welcome screen and a security alert message that said I didn't have an anti-virus installed and my computer was at risk. I latter found that a lot of what you hear in those "Get A Mac" ads is true. Specifically the "Cancel of Allow" thing. There are also a lot of similarities between Vista and Mac OS X Tiger(Beside the fact that they are both OSs), but I won't comment on that right now. Even though my review is negative, I still have hope that Microsoft will fix all of Vista shortcomings in SP1. Until then, I'll stick with the best OS out there, Mac OS X Tiger.

This was a great upgrade but a few problems.

Pros: Vista has some great features, a new look (enhanced by the aero interface, and cleaner design.
Cons: The only major problem i have had with windows vista was after a while when i wanted to log out or put the computer to sleep a blank blue screen would show up. i deleted C:/C:\Windows/minidump to fix.

Given its high level of security function ( questions any move you make ), more appropriate name would be "Windows Parranoia".
