Any 3Com PoE switch or other 802.3af-compliant PoE product supplies both power and data to the access point through the same Category 5 or 6 Ethernet cable, useful and more economical in hard-to-wire locations. 3Com offers one of the most robust suites of standards-based security on the market today. To protect wireless data, WPA2 with 128-bit AES encryption provides the latest, toughest standardsbased security; WEP encryption is also supported for legacy clients.
