Pros: Maybe as a stand alone unit. When I tested a single unit it worked fine; when I tried rolloing out four with the Virtual Controller, we started having MAJOR problems. As a single unit the wireless signal is extremely strong and works very well. This is a
Cons: Time won't sync, VC doesn't seem to properly control hand off of signals, tech support has done nothing about this except acknowledge this is a firmware problem. Tech support seems to know very little about recent firmware upgrades, providing trouble shoo

Summary: These units, controlled by the "Virtual Controller" they tout, are not ready for prime time. I've had NO end of problems with these things; the problem begins with little documentation and HORRIBLE, incredibly incompetent support.
For my most recent issue (no time sync between IAPs controlled by the VC) I've had NO tangible support since I opened a ticket on Aug 1. They've acknowledged the issue with their firmware, but they haven't provided a fix yet. Really!?! How can roaming work if time of the units controlled by the controller is out of sync?
I have our users set to authenticate with WPA2-Enterprise. It seems the Virtual Controller does not seamlessly hand-off between APs when one is roaming; it's like each IAP is still acting as a stand alone unit, passing it's packets through the VC, which then authenticates with the Network Policy Server.
After the recent firmware upgrade, the units WILL NOT SYNC THEIR TIME to the VC, even though I have the VC configured to a time server. Now, more than ever, my user's systems 'hop' among IAPs, disconnecting them all the time. Again, I think this is due to time sync issues, but I cannot even start to diagnose because the lack of coordinated time stamps makes it almost impossible to read the audit logs (I have NPS setup to log to SQL Server).
If you value your time and want to provide your users with a reasonable wireless system, just stay away from these things.
