The good: WEP and WPA security; bridge and repeater capabilities; AutoCell technology helps sidestep rival signals.
The bad: Expensive; AutoCell won't work while using the device as a bridge or a repeater.
The bottom line: This access point's high price will seem fair to those with a lot of wireless equipment.

Work somewhat, poor support
Pros: Good range, when using very basic features it works fine
Cons: Kinks in setup. If you do RADIUS auth then don't go near it. The radius works until a reboot. Some config info is not saved. Trying to get Netgear to address this is a waste of time. COST IS TOO HIGH for issues like that

Netgear Wireless rarely works.
Pros: Nice feature set. Good physical design.
Cons: Netgear Wireless Routers rarely last more than a few months before they just stop working. high failure rate out of the box. They work for a few minutes then simply stop. Connection is okay but nothing else happens. Can't recommend their support service e

Summary: This device is quite reliable and powerful. I had it up and running in secure mode quite quickly once I got the radius EAP-TLS system working. The hardest part was the RADIUS server itself. I've powered down this device a few times during testing and never once lost any configuration. Been in operation for better than a month with no issues. This AP can also host 4 independent networks and keep the wireless clients seperated for hotspot and buisness use of one AP! Create 2 Networks, make one your backoffice RADIUS secured network, The second can be the hotspot for customers to use. The customers can't access the secure network side so your data is protected, and the hotspot side keeps the client computers all seperated so that your customers can't get to each others data either. The AP also has support for Radius Accounting servers, so you can also set up a Pay For Access connection.
To recover from a bad web interface upgrade of the firmware follow the directions about the Telnet method.
There is more than one way to use the Multi WifiNetwork support feature.. I'll leave that to you to think of..
I recommend this device to anyone needing to set up a wireless network and wants to secure it with RADIUS.
I also Recommend FreeRadius as the server. 1. Its Free
2. Great user support mailing lists.
3. Supports a wide variety of Radius Authentication types
4. It is one if the most widely used servers around. -
Buy it for the AutoCell feature!!
Pros: AutoCell- automatically adjusts channels based on interference from neighboring networks- recption and throughput are great
Cons: Firmware upgrade was tricky
-
Does what it was meant to do.
Pros: Solid performance, easy setup, AutoCell, great signal strength, removable antennas, Power Over Ethernet, WPA-PSK, select either b/g or just g with Turbo G.
Cons: Price

Great AP, Does almost everything
Pros: For the money this is the best AP on the market. Great features, and great reliability. It really is amazing.
Cons: Costs more than the cheap stuff, but it's reliable and it does everything and has a great developement team behind it at Netgear.

Good for home use, but not for office networks!
Pros: Great feature set, good range, and works very well in a simple home network when connected directly to a Netgear firewall/router.
Cons: In an office environment with multiple switches and gateway routers, this device works for about 10 seconds after a restart and then stops relaying packets. Returned the first device assuming it was faulty, but second device behaved exactly the same. Supp
