Great...until it quits...

Pros: does what is says - spreads wireless effectively and easily
Cons: the units don't last. have replaced 2 of 3 units house twice now.

Summary: One of the many great things about this product is it's plug and play ability. For those people out there that are not very tech-savvy, this product was designed for you in mind. The ability to just plug the ethernet cable into the Netgear Range Extender and then into your pc/router makes this product a winner. Not only does it make it easy to use, but it also does not sacrifice the signal strength. Since I have owned this product, I have never lost connection to the internet via-range extender. Sure, my internet has gone down due to server issues, but not due to temporary malfunction of this device. The device is powered directly thorough your wall outlet, and thats it. If you do not own any Ethernet cables, don't worry because two Ethernet cables are included, each five feet in length.
Some things I did not like about this product was that the cables are only five feet. You really cant do much with a five foot cable, so I had to organize it so it would fit (I have a levitating jump rope now). Also, some programs may be interfered by your firewall, but I have yet to reach that problem, it is just a possibility.
All in all, the set up will take you about 2min. max. Like I said earlier, all you need to do is plug it in and play. I hope all you readers out there find this helpful!

Failed in less than a month!

Pros: OK when working but not for long.
Cons: VERY VERY FRUSTRATING!
Summary: Sent to Netgear's California facility for warranty repair. Now let's see if they really back up their products. I should have run the Cat. 5 cable!!

great when working - too often not!

Summary: Great product except.. despite resonable network knowledge of dhcp/dns/routers etc and an hour talking to netgear in india (repeated everything aleady done slowly) The product continues to have connectivity issues, a full reset of router and the two wall plugs has resolved it twice..but what a pain.
MSN Messneger complains of gateway issues but these are set correctly on all wireless adapters
Have almost binned the thing twice..but today its been up for last 90 minutes ... no logic ?
other reviews are mixed that i have read but many seem to complain of connectivity issues that are unexplained..
