  buyer beware

  Pros: unreal graphics, great story and character development. completely realized environment.

  Cons: RTS is weak at best! control of "armies" is left to the D pad.
  have fun and buy and extra controller. you will probably break one!

  Summary: this could easily have been game of the year. great voiceovers and soundtrack. the story is deep and full of surprises. a world has been created that begs to be explored until one hits a "stage battle". this is nothing more than a poorely executed RTS that penalizes one so severly for wrong tactics, you will often find yourself starting over. just when the story starts to gain momentum, one of these absolutely frustrating stage battles grinds everything to a halt and makes you ask yourself if it is even worth a trip to gamestop for a trade in. i have been pushed to the brink on many occasions. i am going to dial it down to easy and give it one last shot. i am dumbfounded by the reviewer stating that the RTS was a blast! maybe we played different versions. read this months Game Informer for a more realistic review. i do not expect to trade it in however; if i cannot get past this last stage battle it will be snapped in two and boy will it be gratifying. i cannot explain how one game can be so great and so absolutely frustrating!
