by clarky7777 on August 21, 2011
Pros: awesome atmosphere
great community

violence is less than expected for any adults keeping their kids from playing, no swearing(unless in story mode) and limited blood -
My personal favorite in the series. [as of #7]
by TheRekcah on January 22, 2011
Pros: You've must have heard it before, but this game has some AMAZING graphics, and it's also very fun.
Cons: Infinity Ward has increased the blood quite a bit from part 1, but this won't bother most hard-core gamers. Has PG-13 like language, with only one F bomb.
With all that work they put into graphics, overall play time has suffered. -
Great game all in all
by whattodo1989 on November 8, 2010
Pros: Everything is well rounded honestly
Cons: enemy AI isn't too bright they just run off agro, online gets tiring with fleets of 10 year olds with no parenting what so ever... hints them having the game to start with....
Summary: This one im keeping short cause everything has already been said by other reviewers all i really wish to add is this isn't a child's game! this is ...
Summary: This one im keeping short cause everything has already been said by other reviewers all i really wish to add is this isn't a child's game! this is not made for 13 year old kids and its unruly with the language thats already online but the kids online go on cursing rants like ive never seen any adult do. im in my 20's and i fail to see how the big M on the front doesn't show that a child shouldn't be on this game...
if you have a child and dont understand the rating system please i beg you to look up ESRB(Entertainment Software Rating Board) there is a reason why these games are rated the way they are... and on the back the rating lists why it got its A(adults only) M(mature 17+) down to eC(early childhood) and please research a game before buying it, thank you :D -
Customizable multiplayer and amazing story and plot!
by hyprsleepy on July 28, 2010
Pros: VERY fun campaign, highly customizable multiplayer experience, and special ops adds cooperative gameplay options to the mix.
Cons: Campaign is over very fast (12 hours on veteran), this is the easiest Call of Duty yet, I'm not sure if I like giving perks to people who play longer.
Summary: I kind of prefer Gears of War and Halo when it comes to multiplayer because then everyone starts off on equal footing. The campaign is absolutely amazing though and I ...
Summary: I kind of prefer Gears of War and Halo when it comes to multiplayer because then everyone starts off on equal footing. The campaign is absolutely amazing though and I would recommend playing it even if you never touch the rest of the game. The twists and turns it takes you through were crazy and the level design is top notch.

Not so great...
by xxPHONEFREAKxx on January 4, 2010
Pros: Great graphics. Okay multiplayer.
Cons: The variety of guns are so limited. There isn't much to do after campaign either.
Summary: The game is great but compared to other games the guns suck. On rainbow six vegas 1 and 2 you have 70-80 guns to choose from. On this game you ...

by longplainfirstnation on December 26, 2009
Pros: With so many players online you never get bored kicking ass.
Cons: If your not online this game is very limited and boring.
Summary: This game would be best suited for a PC however with so many young hooligans online it's a great way to play. Booya.

The True Review...
by BurghFan1 on November 19, 2009
Pros: Multiplayer: variety of game modes
Special Ops mode: 1 or 2 player (local or XBL)
New perks, weapons, tags, etc.
Graphics are amazing, as expected
Easy to learn
My 5 yr old plays well, on normal difficulty, but features 2 higher difficultiesCons: Sometimes frustrating trying connect to XBL matches, with and without party members.
Online player models not customizable.Summary: After playing COD4: MW, i was STOKED to hear about the release of the sequel. It has not dissapointed. The one mode i wish the first one had was co-op ...
Summary: After playing COD4: MW, i was STOKED to hear about the release of the sequel. It has not dissapointed. The one mode i wish the first one had was co-op campaign mode. MW2 has implemented a "Special Ops" (SO) mode where you play solo, co-op local, or co-op over XBL. I've played 2 SO missions so far and they award 1-3 stars for difficulty/performance.
I havent played the solo campaign extensively but it seems to be right in line with MW1.
...and now, the MONEY MAKER, MULTIPLAYER OVER XBOX LIVE...
So far, i've noticed there are 70 levels, then prestige mode (another 70). I'm currently sutting as a Sgt First Class (around rank 20). You can customize up to 5 loadouts which include a primary weapon (AR, SMG, LMG, sniper, riot shield)and secondary (shotguns, pistols, launchers, machine pistols). You also get to chose the standard equipment (grenades, throwing knife, etc). 3 Perks per class including some new ones which allow you to jam nearby enemy radar, resupply off dead enemies, and add multiply attachments to your primary weapon. They also have Pro Perks which are unlocked thru challenges.
A new addition to each loadout is the "Death Streak". Choosing a death perk allows you to get a slight advantage if you are being owned to include a health boost for certain time period after respawn. Very cool.
Just like in MW1, you get bonuses for kill streaks. This one allows you to unlock bonuses as you level and you get to select 3 bonuses (cannot duplicate the streak level like you can only have 1 bonus that takes 7 kills). They have everything from care packages to armored helos to a NUKE at 25 kills.
A few addition things to unlock are the gamertags (just like signatures on forums) and icons to put next to your name. I've seen a few dozen of these so far and they seem pretty cool. Look out for "Public Enemy" BurghFan1 on XBL!
They have the same stats leaderboards and i havent looked into the challenges yet but they seem pretty extensive. You will spend hours on end playing this if you are dedicated enough.
Finally, there are about 12-15 game modes which include capture the flag, team deathmatch, ground war (big team battles), and free-for-alls. Of course there are more than jsut your everyday game modes such as my personal favorite "Mercenary Team Deathmatch". I enjoy this one because parties are not allowed so you wont get matched up with 5 newbs and try to take on 6 team members who are gonna own your face. Teams are randomly selected of course.
my advice: if you enjoy FPS and/or MW1, this is a MUST BUY. There have been tons of people online every day i've signed in (most in team deathmatch of course).
Not going to get into the maps but they seem to be littered with different elevation advantages ::wink::

Great game, but not for xbox.
by iMintz on November 16, 2009
Pros: Amazing multiplayer.
Cons: Single player is too short and uninspired.
Summary: The game is great but you buy the game for multiplayer, and xbox is the only system that requires you to pay for online. Here this may shed some light......
