Pros: I honestly couldn't get through the 1st mission it sucked so much so as far as pros................... I racked my brain and could not come up with one. I even tried to play 2 player with a friend of mine and that sucked just as much.
Cons: This game is SO FAR below the bar set by the previous CONFLICT games, I'd say the biggest con is the money I shelled out for the game.
Summary: To start, you team members are a stereotyped "redneck" and a "brother". Even the conversing is just not believeable. Straight out of Sat. Night Live parody. Not withstanding the timing ...
Summary: To start, you team members are a stereotyped "redneck" and a "brother". Even the conversing is just not believeable. Straight out of Sat. Night Live parody. Not withstanding the timing and quality of the conversation is clearly computer generated.
Next: There isn't any finding of appropriate weapons. In the older games, if you ran out of ammo and didn't happen to stumble across a cache or a random gun from a killed enemy, you were out of luck. Then you had to find some. Sometimes you were lucky and sometimes not. In this game, you just happen to find thses huge chests of ammo where you proceed to rifle through them and replenish your supply. You don't know what you picked up as the scene is just viewed from the POV of someone watching you pick thru a box of stuff. When you are finished, you just stand up and- WA LA!==replenished. With what? Who knows what you found in the box.......... So, needless to say, there isn't any good switching of weapons. The variety of weapons you are allowed to carry is very limited anyway.
But wait, theres more....
It takes A LOT of bullets to knock down the enemy. Even when he is zeroed in on your sites dead aim, he still stands. So when you are shooting him numerous with what you know are kill shots, he stands and you get killed.
And if you call within the next 10 minutes:..... When you switch characters, it just doesn't go from one guy to another. It is like a fast forward in time lapsed photography rushing through the entire trail the character would need to pass thru to get to the guy that he's running to . Like a cartoon where Bugs takes off and there is a trail of color left at the scene. Complete with the WHOOSH. (ya gotta be kidding!!!!)
And ONLY YOU will qualify to have your order tripled!!...
You will hear music that is mundain, inappropriate for the scene and monotonous. This just adds to the frustration of the ineptness of this game The graphics are right out of the seventies, except for the explosions==which there are many.
So in conclusion, they must have fired all the creators of the previous games and hired 8 year olds (hence the massive and many explosions) . I really can't believe they made this game and thought to themselves "Good Job". I have been playing the Conflict series for years and re-play them all the time, still at times finding things I hadn't before. I would have reviewed this on eBay, but I haven't listed it yet and I would like to dump it. Maybe some other Conflict junkie will find the beauty in this klunker.
