A big step for a First-Third Person Shooter console game

Pros: graphics (especially with an HD) and the excitement (I found my hands swetting).
Cons: a bit too short (I was dissapointed that it ended so quick prob. less than 15hrs game play). And what about my PC dude, you left it behind...

Summary: Gears of war is an extraordinary and so far the most popular game for X box 360 how so ever, and is one of the reasons you should save some bucks by buying the 360 instead of the PS 3. At first, I put my self in a single player mode which is spectacular but I think the bots are a bit silly. But in my second look on the 2 player splited screen mode the game was spectacular (remember to find a guy whose ability are better than the AI). Another thing I want to add is this.. Only one boss!!!! c'mon dude, and less than 20 hrs game play! Anyway all is forgiven for the spectacular graphics, blood driven plot line and all those joy I got from playing it.

Summary: Gears of war is arguably xbox 360s biggest selling point and boast the best graphics this system is capable of (in my oppinion). The online is extremely fun and can keep you entertained for hours on end. However, campaign mode is boring! the levels are too streight forward and all you have to do is follow a set path while killing enemies on the way. Because of this the gameplay gets very repetative and you will find yourself getting bored rather quickly. Its definitly worth buying just to play online, but its not as good as its meant to be.

Summary: This is easily one of the best first person shooters ever made. I'm glad that it came out before Halo 3, because history has shown that the makers of Halo will not release new installments unless they are sure it is hands down better than anything on the market. If there is a complaint to be made, it is that the single player version is short and there is no bonus achievement awarded for killing the boss on insane mode.
Graphically, it is the best looking console game to date. The sound is incredible, the controls are flawless, and oddly enough the plot at the end keeps you captivated, a rarity in an FPS since you don't buy FPSs for the story line.
If I were to have a serious complaint about Gears of War, it would have to be that it is addictive, and addictions are bad. -

Only bad thing is the nightmares I have of krill attacking me in dark allyways in my sleep...outside of that, this game is flawless

Summary: Gears of war is the best game of its type i have honestly ever played. I have got hours & hours of fun and enjoyment from it. I still never get tired of cutting locust in half with the chainsaw and headshots with the rifle. Although the single player is short it is really fun to do and insane mode really provides a challenge. The multiplayer is also good however i start to get bored now with the multiplayer after owning the game for a few months. Why? I dont know. I get more enjoyment out of COD3 with its superior multiplayer. Overall Gears is a great game though and i highly suggest you buy it.
