  Summary: I am a huge baseball fan and have been a proud owner of many MLB 2K games including 2K7, 2K8, and 2K9. To be perfectly honest, it has seemed that the series has become worse each year since 2007.
  
  First, let me say that I can't compare this to The Show; that would be like comparing Need For Speed Underground to Gran Turismo 5. There is no comparison and quite honestly it is almost comical to put these two games in the same room. So, my review is based solely on my experience with 2K Sports since no other developer can make a licensed MLB Game right now (other than Sony).
  
  2K10 makes a ton of critical errors which make the game almost unplayable at the worst, and not enjoyable at best. First, the graphics. The graphics are shade above an original Xbox or PS2 game; they are horrible. Player models look terrible and almost embarrasing for a game developed in 2009 and released in 2010. To illiustrate my point, look at the uniforms of the players. The numbers look rediculous and the names are in a generic font. To me, it looks unpolished and cheap. If the game was $20-$30, this would not be an issue or concern. Unfortunately, this game is listed at $59.99, so I do expect polish in this area. Especially when other developers take the time and scrutiny to release a polished product. Another example is the crowd; it almost looks to me that the developers realized at the last minute they needed to include this and just slapped something together. It is almost comical looking at the stadiums. Watching the players run and move is also another laughing matter; did the developers ever actually play this game before releasing it? Wow.
  
  Gameplay is also a huge let-down for 2K10. First, the default batter view is horrible. It made it very difficult to judge fastballs as opposed to breaking balls. I immediately switched to the traditional view seen in the past 2K games. I also found the pitching and hitting aspects of the game frustrating and boring. It just didn't pull me in and drive my interest in playing. The other frustration was the lack of being able to quickly customize an exhibition/quick game; in the prior series you could quickly adjust the stadium location, uniforms, weather etc. Now, that is not possible and is a huge let down for the series. I just found the gameplay choppy and frustrating and extremely unpolished. Combine that with bad graphics, and it is a disaster.
  
  Realism is simply gone in this game. I picked up a ground ball with my 2nd basemand literally 5 feet away from the Shortstop who was covering 2nd. Rather than toss the ball underhanded to the Shortstop, my 2nd baseman looked like he was throwing a ball into the 2nd level of the stadium and drilled my shortstop. After laughing at the sight, my frustration quickly returned when a routine groundball was hit toward my 1st baseman who ran right over it as he went to cover 1st base and I watched in frustration as the ball rolled to my Right Fielder. These issues were just a sample of the issues I had. Many times I had to watch replays just to see if my eyes were fooling me; nope, the game just sucks that bad.
  
  Overall, this is honestly a terrible game. I usually try to defend games when they have some merit, but this has no merit. Notice how the commercials for this game have literally no game footage? There is a reason why; this is just an aweful game from top to bottom. In my opinion, MLB needs to step up and allow more developers to enter the fray and give people on the Xbox 360/Wii platforms some other options, because this is not only frustrating, it is embarrasing for the MLB. If Sony can make a game with such polish and detail, there is no reason why another developer can't step up and do it for the Xbox. I have considered myself to be a supporter of MLB 2K in the past, but after these experiences (2K9 and 2K10) I am no longer going to keep hoping that next year's version will be better and will stop defending this garbage.

  Summary: First off, I must say, it was absolutely genius of 2KSports to buy all the licenses for a multiplatform MLB Franchise. However, I'm pretty sure they got in over their heads in doing so.
  
  So my first issue with this piece of stool was the gameplay. Hands down it was atrocious. I ran into many of the same problems I had with 2K9, only in a slightly lesser extent. Honestly, I don't know how they expect to be taken seriously with this. Little dribbling ground balls up the middle that go for doubles because the infielders won't chase it to the lip of the outfield grass are only the start. Outfielders can't seem to cut off the ball in the gap half the time, infielders will run past a ball hit right to them to get to their base, and when a pitcher covers first base on a grounder to the right side, he'll pull up short of the bag half the time and try to tag the runner instead of going to the bag. Not to mention, the game still freezes from time to time in the late innings of a close ballgame, just continuing to compound your frustrations.
  
  The graphics in themselves are quite sorry as well. While they are a step up from the graphics in 2K9, they still look like they were done by the designers for original X-box at best. The shadowing is poor, the running motions are slightly duck-like, the dirt animations on a slide are non-existent, and worst of all is the crowd. Past a certain number of rows, they are flat against the sloping stands. The ones that are actually animated to reach for a ball are just as bad. Every single person leaps out-of-sync. Even for a couple seconds after the ball settles, you see some idiots still leaping to try and catch it.
  
  Overall, 2KSports let me down yet again. It seems at this point like my only hope is to go out and buy a PS3 and MLB: The Show, because 2KSports owns the MLB licenses for at least another year. They haven't improved much of their glitches over the past few years, and it seems they keep compounding new ones on top. Overall, this gets a 2.5 out of 10 at best.

  Wow why do you guys hate this game i love it

  Pros: This Game is awsome! It has the most realistic roster and great picture and also it is great gameplay. I love the today feature you can play real games with real rosters! mlb 2k10 hands down is a awsome game love it!

  Summary: I thought this product was going to be an improvement from mlb 2k9, although really no difference, for example, many sections of the crowds at different stadiums look dead and extremely 2d, if you were to hit a homerun, the crowd is pretty unresoponsive. Yes they do cheer and react, but very boring and unrealistic, as for in "mlb the show 10", the crowd is very realistic, they even start to leave the stadium if the home team is doing poorly, as for in "mlb 2k10", it is a packed house all throughout the game whether the home team is losing or winning. Also in "mlb 2k10" the same glitches as there was in "mlb 2k9" are back. For example,if a ground ball is hit to the second baseman, he doesnt even bother throwing to first base no matter how many times you attempt to throw the ball. Also outfielders in the game, sometimes, stand in the middle of the field as a fly ball is hit to them and do nothing, very frusterating when your winning by a lead of 4 runs and the batter hits an inside the park homerun. And this happened right after i bought the game, no scrathes on the disc at all. This game definately does not deserve more than 3 to 4 stars out of 10.
