NBA Live 2010 takes a step backwards in my opinion.

Pros: Crowds were much more detailed. Off the ball play was much improved.
Cons: Player Lock is a joke. The court, other than the crowds, is not as vibrant as '09. Commentators are behind the play-action. Post play deeply de-emphasized. Gameplay is faster, more arcade like (in my opinion) than in '09.

Summary: Its my fault. I didn't preview the demo or rent the game first before buying. I stupidly thought that franchises don't go backward from year to year, if anything they stay stagnate. I could take stagnant. '09 wasn't a hit with most but it satisfied my basketball-fix all of last year. Live 10, where do I begin: the graphics are worse than last year, Player Lock is stupid, Defense is awkward, players still don't look like themselves (they remind me of someone who was embalmed!). The commentators are behind the play action and the summaries. The after-the-shot action (i.e. after someone makes a shot and runs back to the other end of the floor) is PATHETIC. The Hangar (I could be wrong on this one), but you can't pick your favorite player.
All in all? I don't know anything about NBA Live 2K 2010 but Live 10 is making me want to find out. I am now looking to sell this thing for a discounted price so I can get 2K10.
I'm really tired of EA screwing me over. Madden 08 and 09 were a joke (in my opinion). Now NBA Live 2010. NBA Live 2009 was serviceable.....Live 10 is a STEP IN THE WRONG DIRECTION.
Very disappointed.
