Good Game, Could have been better
by Super-Manning on May 18, 2007

Summary: Overall it was an ok game but it seems like they are trying to switch the ncaa game to be more like madden. I found that defence was now too easy and offencive passing was too hard. One thing they did fix was running the ball, before running only came from options and directs but now almost any play works. Im glad they finally put a break tackle button in other than stiff arm so now the big backs have a chance. If you enjoyed dynasties in the last game alot, i would set yourself up for dissapointment, it just isnt the same style anymore. All of the hardcore x-box ncaa players will find it very hard to switch to the new "madden" style gameplay. Overall its an ok game but i still prefer the regular x-box version

Good game, but probably better on a different system

Summary: The gameplay in my opinion is pretty good. But, it has one big problem; the game continually locks up. It say's disc read error all the time(usually in the fourth quarter). It has to be an EA problem because I took it back and got another only to encounter the same problem. Two of my friends bought the game and have the same exact problem. So, in all, it's a fun game but I would buy it for a different system (but it is very easy to get achievement unlocks with it).

Best graphics but still missing something...

Summary: This game is just about perfect. The graphics are stunning, and the gameplay is second to none. It is frustrating that there are some teams and stadiums missing for the best console out there (360), and the Xbox version has more features. I'm not sure how that can happen. Don't let that deter you from buying though. This game rocks.

This game isnt up-to-snuff.

Summary: Not trying to down talk this game but its like they put no effort into this game. To say that the 360 verion should be better than the others cause its got better grapics they sure did a bad job at it. I had wished that they wouldnt have taken anything away from it. It may be just me, but I would have hoped that they would've put more detail into the crowd than b4. Better systems comes better responcibilities I say.

If you like this game on XBox and PS2, don't buy for 360

Summary: This game is not the same game as the original Xbox and PS2 version. It does not have the Legend mode. It does not let you build up points to get cheats. The controls are not the same as the original Xbox version. Instead of pressing A,B,X or black button to select a play, you press the stick or the d-pad to the play you want and then select it. The reason I don't like this is because when you are playing someone then they can see which play you selected.
The interface is completely different from the original console.
The good thing about this game is the graphics. I wish they had taken the game play for the original game and just enhanced the graphics for HD. This game would be an absolute 10 if they had done this. I'm not sure why they decided to change the game completely.
I don't recommend getting this game for the Xbox 360. Continue to play it on the original console or PS2. -
This game doesn't live up to the past!
by bubbafouts on August 6, 2006
Pros: Better graphics! Tackles look real. Can actually block punts and field goals. Great mini-games.
Cons: Game continually freezes. Option pitches are somewhat unrealistic. A lot to be desired when creating a player. Completely different controls.

Summary: I don't know if they rushed this game for the 360 or what, but it definately doesn't live up to its predecessors or other versions '07. For some reason, they decided to completely change the controls from the other systems. Not a big deal once you get used to them. In fact, I think I like them better. (With the exception you can't scroll through players both ways. If you miss the person you wanted on defence before the ball is snapped, you have to go through the entire line.) Secondly, one of the best parts of '06 was creating a player and managing them through the course of the college career. They completely deleted that on the 360 while the expanded on it for every other platform. Why? My biggest complaint is the constant freezing. Both copies of the '07 freeze all the time. I have been in the middle of several "important" games and the 360 froze. It happened often enough I took it back for good. Maybe in '08 they will actually put some effort into designing a playable version. Just to end on a positive note, I love the mini-games they created. Tug-O-War, Bowling, and the 2 minute option drill are excellent. They were just about the only thing I played (partly because you wouldn't lose 30 minutes of "work" when the game would freeze.)

Not worth the $60.
