Racing at it's core.
by LocNar0 on March 2, 2011
Pros: No dumb licenses to attain; only race modified cars; good tuning system; real race tracks and cars; in car racing feels very real
Cons: Graphics aren't the best, no race randomizer
Summary: Race Pro is a simple game in concept but the finished product is a pure racing game. The in-car perspective gives you a feel that your not racing your neighbor'...

Summary: Race Pro is a simple game in concept but the finished product is a pure racing game. The in-car perspective gives you a feel that your not racing your neighbor's coupe but a real racing car. The game doesn't have the silly worthless street cars to buy and modify but instead the true racing cars of the GT circuits. In the end, Race Pro is a simpler racing game that offers racing cars on racing tracks in championship modes. No gimmicks, this game isn't Forza but it's a great little racing game.

Unique Passable Racing Simulator for XBOX 360.
by ESS_Roadhog on February 23, 2009
Pros: Driving physics superior to other racing games, incl. Forza, Grid, GT5 Pro.
Cockpit view is usable, and adds realism.
Fresh group of real tracks (albeit few), not seen in most other games.
Licensing of unique racing series, including the WTCC.
Cons: Graphics, sound, presentation are passable, but barely.
Cockpit view in the rain is rubbish, wipers do not clear the windshield.
Online games are "peer" hosted rather than server hosted.
Laggy perfomance online for above reason.
Suspect AI.
Summary: If you're a hardcore fan of racing sims, this one belongs in the XBOX collection for the simple reason that Simbin hits driving physics dead on. That said, that ...

Summary: If you're a hardcore fan of racing sims, this one belongs in the XBOX collection for the simple reason that Simbin hits driving physics dead on. That said, that may be the only thing going for this game. Without the graphics, sound and presentation, most arm chair racers are going to find it a raw experience, and that may be good or bad. The weather effects are nice, but the cockpit view becomes unusable. The car damage model seems to have no underlying logic or proper effect, and the AI behavior is either rigidly aggressive or simply aloof to you and determined to run it's own line. Simbin has left the door open for racers to be disappointed in a a lot of ways, except for the driving itself. With that in mind, rent before you buy if you are unsure. I'm all about the sim, so I have a general distaste for arcade racers like GRID. For me, the real value of this game will be if it can provide stable online play (which cancels the AI issue.) In three attempts at online races, one race completed without a hitch, another was dropped by the host, and a third had excessive lag (with 9 racers.) For me the jury is out. Again, rent before you buy to determine if this game is for you.
