  Two Steps Forward One Step Back

  Summary: After failures and failures Sonic is still trying to get his footing back. It just seems like whatever game is released no matter how much Sega tries is a failure. Sonic the Hedgehog or Sonic 06 and many other 3D Sonic games in my opinion could have been great but it seems like Sega dosent want to ut the time in. Well after a rough year Sega sends out the last game of the year Sonic Unleashed. And even though it has a few large flaws I'm proud to say that Sega might have actually found a 3D system that works.
  The Story in Sonic Unleashed is pretty thin. The world is split apart to unleash a beast called dark Gaia. While this is happening Sonic is transformed into a werehog from some weird thing that doctor eggman created. Thats where the story begins
  The Gameplay in Sonic Unleashed is Varied into two groups Night and Day stages. Day stages are fast and make you feel like were playing an old Sonic game. But you know they had to through in a cheep gimick. The Werehog. Well even though the game was split into two types of stages Sega had to make fake Sonic longer. I mean I dont want to play a level for 25 minutes. This is not God of War. Seriously, They completely ripped off God of War. If I'm going to play a Sonic game I don't want to move at 10 MPH. Another thing to comment on in this game are the medals. This is the cheapest way of extending a game that I have ever seen. Once again Sega puts no effort to make a long game. They just extend it by telling you to play the same level over again. The reason this game has been being knocked is because Sega nowadays seems to only concentrate on visuals. They could care less about the game. As long as it looks good then people will buy it. Sega has to get off there butts and work like they did on the first Sonics. Back to the medals. They are hid so that you have to go sooooo slooooowwwww. Ok well that sums up the gameplay.
  The presentation of Sonic Unleashed is the only thing in this entire game that is flawless. The music and theme song Endless Possibilities are awesome. But this comes with no surprise because all the Sonic games even the awful ones seem to have exceptional music and graphics. Now on to the controls.
  The controls on Sonic Unleashed are confusing and glitchy. When you playing the daytime stages for some weird reason the homing attack is executed by pressing the A button the then the X button which later in the game gets even more frustrating when another ability called air dash which is where you boost in the air but sometimes you want to do a homing attack but you do a airdash. And then we have the werehog stages where the controls are so so inconsistant. You need pinpoint accuracy from awful controls. The the controls in Sonic Unleashed needed some more work.
  Sonic Unleashed is best described as two steps forward and one step back. The daytime stages take a double leap forward but the night time stages and medals and glitchy controls take it back one step. Sega after years of failure may have found a formula that works.

  Just plain boring.

  Pros: Graphics are much better then previous game, but that's about all.

  Cons: New "wer-hog morph" mode was created to make the game more fun and interesting, but it actually ruins the game further. To put it simply, this game is just not fun.

  Summary: Sega has had some bad Sonic game is 2006-present but I thing this one could be the best thing we get. This game has some very interesing features and twist to it. In this game Sonic takes on the same genaric stuff. Eggman tries to rule the world sonic has to stop his plots and incounter some of his friends. This time its changed Sonic turns into a werehog during the night and is normal during the day also incounters a new friend. Sega has also inproved on the basic things like camra view and runing also there is some new stuff like quick moves. But there is alot of things sega got wrong. In this game there is task you must complete for people in order to move to the next stage that might be fun to some people but you could make it better by making it an extra and with diffrent people. The Werehog parts on a wii are flat out stupid because they wil make your arms weak when using punches and jab. On 360 it much better. Then there is there're bigger problems some part of the game should be long but others should be shorten. Something that could have helped out the game is using real time for the game. Sega has made a big diffrence with there games by going backwards but this game takes sega back and forward so mabye one day sega could make a better sonic game.
