by the 4077th on December 27, 2006
Pros: Good graphics, lots of cars that are real, big map and many more.
Cons: Hard to get money if you just want to drive around.
Summary: Suggest renting first before you buy the game but over all it is very addicting.

fun to just drive around
by Garaboncias on March 3, 2012
Pros: 1. each car and bike handles differently
2. hundreds of races
3. huge and beautiful open-world
4. large variety of races
5. Sims-like elements
6. fun to just drive around doing "nothing"
7. challenging gameplayCons: If you understand what kind of game it is there's not much to complain about. Sure the graphics is not as nice as in Forza 4, but TDU is from 2006 so of-course it won't look like Forza 4.
Summary: TDU is an arcade game so don't expect Forza-like driving physics, however it is not the same type of arcade game as the 'Need for Speed' and Burnout games. ...

You first choose a character to play, you can then buy him/her cars, bikes and houses. To earn money you need to take part in various races. Before the "real" game starts you get tested on your skills, and based on this the game sets the appropriate difficulty level for you.
There are hundreds of races to do, each track is different from the last in some way. There are a variety of races to do: against the clock, taking hitchhikers to their destinations within a time-limit, luxury car delivery, street races, breaking speed records, etc.
Some of the races are very difficult, the street races in particular, where you constantly need to dodge other cars on the road. In most races however you simply need to have a good car in order to win. TDU can be slow-moving as some races require you to do drive as carefully as possible for 10+ minutes.
So this is a different kind of game, it is a cross between a Sims-game and an open-world arcade game, and if this combination sounds interesting and fun to you I think you will like TDU. -

Summary: This game is truly amazing, it's the only racing game worth being compared to the project gotham racing series. The in car view is really good, because it is very rarely seen in car games, overall this game a really addicting one and it is rare to find games like this.

One if the worst 360 games I've ever played
by flathead0 on January 1, 2007
Pros: at least it's a racing game, glad i rented it first befor buying
Cons: hard game, terrible graphics, bad physics, boring game, no storyline that i'm aware of, cut scences are very bad the people never talk, guy's back neck and arms go right through seat, and more........
Summary: When I tried this game on my racing xbox 360 racing wheel it sucked! I had to turn it half way befor I did any movements! I thought my controllerd ...
Summary: When I tried this game on my racing xbox 360 racing wheel it sucked! I had to turn it half way befor I did any movements! I thought my controllerd had been busted or something but it worked very good on need for speed carbon. Even with the regular controller this game is hard, I always get caught by the police and I can never get anywhere in this game. The game always freezes and the graphics compared to my other games suck. I'm a big fan of racing games, and I loved the 360 graphics on them, but these graphics are horrible and the physics are out of whack, this game wasn't the most boring game i've ever played but close to it.
