  this game is not good for noobs to the series,like me.

  Pros: many courses, interesting for noobs

  Cons: takes forever to level your attributes up, when trying to start your career you have little to zero chance to win, buying clubs complicated due to attributes, if not on fairway just give up.

  Summary: its a interesting game for a noob to the series. many different things to do but they do get tiresome. its frustrating to be playing in career mode at a event and go from having a great round to one shot off target and you have a double bogey or shot limit exceeded. when starting you cant seem to win. this is my first game in the series and i already want another one because im so frustrated. btw ea why do right handed people have to shoot left handed? i understand you can change it but still. then when i go to buy clubs the clubs and even clothes have attributes but being a noob i dont know how they effect the game or what they even are for. if your thinking about buying a older game to get to know the series pick anothert one. acc ording to more experienced gamers of the series try 07

  Summary: chipping onto the green does not work well. And the biggest issue is I am right handed but have to putt left handed. They added a feature to hit either way - left or right - which you set at the start of the game but when putting right handed people have to putt left handed. took us a while to figure that out.
  
  Also when you start the game you are in learning mode, and at one point you cannot get out of a specific shot. The only way to get out is exit the learning mode.
  
  Please tell me someone at EA actually tested this game before they burned it to DVD? Game is going back to the store and getting TW 07.

  Summary: Where to begin? Despite the glitches in Tiger Woods 07, they seem minimal compared to the embarrassing effort EA put out in this year's version. To start, the big deal that's made of your gamerface is overstated. I couldn't even access the website (many, many times due to an overloaded server), let alone try having fun with the feature. However, that would be a very minor issue if the gameplay was worthwhile. Simply put, you start your "career" with so much stacked against you that it's just no fun. Building up your skills is tedious and frustrating. It's hard to describe the feeling of playing about an hour's worth of the same tasks over and over only to reach a skill level about equal to my grandmother's. The swing is not smooth or fluid; it's so over-sensitive that you'll spend the majority of your time in deep rough or sand or in the trees. Furthermore, being anywhere other than the fairway is so penalizing that you'll be over par before you even reach the green. Then, once you're on the green, putting is so ridiculously easy that you wonder if anyone at EA Sports either didn't notice such a discrepancy or if they didn't even care. That's the feeling I got as I continued to hack away at this game---that EA Sports didn't even care enough to make a better game. The new course additions are nice, but that's not nearly enough to save this awful game. Some may say that the difficulty of this game is justified as it accurately reflects how difficult real golf is. To that I say, if I want the challenge of playing real golf, I'd be out on the course. If I spend $60 on a golf video game, I would prefer to have fun and be entertained. My advice to anyone interested in trying this game for themselves---stick to Tiger Woods 07!
